Welcome to Eaves of Mirkwood, my little corner of the internet where I share my thoughts about The Lord of the Rings: The Card Game, a brilliant Living Card Game from Fantasy Flight Games.
I was bitten by the LOTR LCG bug when my brother gave me copy of the core set for my birthday in 2015. Little did he know what he was about to unleash. I fell in love with the game straight away, and it wasn’t long before I got the itch to buy my first adventure pack. And another. And four more. And a deluxe expansion. And a saga box. You can see where this is going.
After a while I began to feel the need to organise my thoughts about the game in a written format so I started this blog to chronicle my gameplay experiences and share my adventures with other players. Eaves of Mirkwood was originally hosted at BoardGameGeek, but in mid-2017 I moved the blog to its own domain.
I am still a fairly green player, so my insights may not rival those of the game’s veteran commentators, but I hope that I can nevertheless bring a unique perspective to the table. Thanks for joining me on my quest!
